Reiki
Great Spirit,
Mother / Father / God
Of power and might
And infinite love and light
Be with us now
As we prepare for Reiki healing.
We ask our spiritual guides
Along with the angels, saints
And other beings of light
To be here with us
To work with us
For our highest good and healing.

Reiki I
Preparing for
Attunement
Some people like to
observe a process of purification before a Reiki
attunement. The following steps are optional. However,
observing all or some of these suggestions may help the
attunement energies work more efficiently and help you
with your own personal healing issues.
- Refrain from
eating meat, fowl, or fish for three days before the
attunement.
- If you are a
vegetarian or you have experience fasting, consider
a three-day
water or juice fast.
- Minimize or avoid
the use of caffeine (coffee, tea or soft drinks).
- Consume no alcohol
for at least three days days before the attunement.
- Do not eat
chocolate.
- Reduce your
consumption of sugar and sweets.
- Do not use
aspartame, saccharin, or other chemical sweeteners.
- If you smoke, do
so as little as possible. Try to avoid smoking on
the day of the attunement.
- Meditate or spend
some time in silence for half an hour for three days
before the attunement.
- Reduce or
eliminate the amount of time spent watching TV,
especially the news.
- Go for quiet
walks, spend time with nature, and get moderate
exercise.
